The Royal Brackla Distillery was founded and built in 1812 by William Fraser in Nairn, Scotland. It was one of three distilleries to receive Royal Approval in 1833 by order of William IV of England and then by Queen Victoria in 1838.
It was bought from John Dewar & Sons in 1998 by Bacardi.
The proposed whiskey was distilled in 2009 and aged in a first filling Bourbon cask, it is unpeated and is bottled at 46 °
