Kilchoman Batch Strength 70cl 57°
Kilchoman brings you a new whisky created by Anthony Wills, founder of the Islay distillery.
Batch Strength is a peated whisky, aged in Sherry Oloroso casks, then in recalcined red wine casks and finally in Bourbon casks. A few drops of water are added after maturation to obtain a concentration of 57°.
This whisky has a smoky, peaty taste, with Kilchoman citrus and black fruit. Rich in spice and sweet with caramel.

First distillery built on Islay, 125 years ago, Kilchoman has been built as a “farm-distillery” and grows its own barley.
About 100 tons are harvested and malted at the distillery, 30% of the distillery’s needs. The rest is supplied by the Port Ellen malt-house. It is also part of the 6 last distilleries operating with traditional malting processes. In 2009, Kilchoman crafted its first recognized Single Malt. Kilchoman is one of the smallest distilleries of Scotland with an annual production of about 100.000 liters.
