New Benrinnes 15 ans 2010 Itinéraires Berry Bros. & Rudd 70cl 56.5°
Distillery : Benrinnes / Country : Scotland / Reference: : 26436

The Benrinnes 15 Year Old 2010 Itinéraires, bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd, is an exceptional single cask release. Distilled in 2010, it matured in a bourbon cask before undergoing a three-and-a-half-year finish in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, imparting a unique aromatic richness. Its deep amber hue hints at a generous whisky. The nose reveals heady aromas of preserved black fruits, dates, and muscovado syrup, complemented by notes of espresso coffee and leather. On the palate, it is dense and oily, offering a silky texture and remarkable complexity. The finish is long, tannic, with echoes of spiced fruitcake, inviting prolonged tasting. A rare whisky, non-chillfiltered, with no added coloring, to be enjoyed alone or paired with fine dishes.

Berry Bros & Rudd is the oldest wine and spirits merchant still in activity: it was in 1698 that a widow named Bourne opened a delicatessen at number 3 of James's Street, in the heart of one of the most exclusive districts. from London. It very quickly seduced the aristocracy and in particular the British Crown, of which it would become the official supplier.

Under the leadership of George Berry, who took over the grocery store in 1810, the wine and spirits trade developed and became its main branch. A new partner, Hugh R. Rudd, entered in 1920 and joined the Berry family to launch the Cutty Stark in 1923, the very first blend to be completely unstained. This is the first major success for the brand with both names.

Today, Berry Bros & Rudd spreads its products all over the world and is considered one of the most famous bottlers, in particular thanks to the know-how of Doug Mclvor, the real "nose" of the brand, who selects the  homemade whiskies.
