Mortlach 2008 First Fill Bourbon Ink S.V. 70cl 46°
This Mortlach 2008 First Fill Bourbon edition of our Ink#1 S.V. range is a limited edition of 289 bottles, exclusivity selected by our experts.
Founded in 1823, Mortlach was built on the site of a former illegal distillery. Mortlach whisky is renowned for its power and finesse.
For the record, it is one of the very few distilleries allowed to produce alcohol during the Second World War until 1944.
Performing a triple partial distillation, the distillery benefits from an old-fashioned "Worm Tube" condensation system, which it shares with the Talisker and Edradour distilleries.
Our experts have selected this Single Cask #800130 aged in Bourbon barrel of first filling for its exuberance and its very rich aromas.
Distilled in 2008, then bottled in 2019, this whisky develops gourmet (pastries, cereals) and exotic (fruit, vanilla ...) notes.
An excellent quality / price ratio.
