Herbal tea or infusion?

Herbal tea and infusion are the same thing! It's a preparation based on caffeine-free plants and water. In the water, the various active principles of the plants are diffused. Infusions have many benefits, depending on the plants chosen.

The different types of infusion

Infusions come in several types. Monovarietal infusions, which contain just one plant variety, allow you to experience every property and ingredient of the herbal tea. Most of these infusions are composed of lime blossom, chamomile, lemon verbena or rooibos. Wellness blends, on the other hand, are composed of medicinal plants and roots with active principles, providing numerous benefits for the human body. Finally, gourmet blends offer a wide range of tastes, thanks to their flower- or fruit-based compositions.

The different benefits

Infusions have many benefits. They are a source of minerals and trace elements such as iron, magnesium, potassium, copper and zinc. Vitamin C is also present in cold-brew infusions. Rich in antioxidants, notably flavonoids, certain infusions such as hibiscus and rooibos have real draining virtues. Infusions can also relieve stomach aches, thanks to ingredients such as licorice, peppermint and turmeric. For strengthening natural defenses, ginger and acerola are excellent allies. Infusions can also help reduce anxiety, thanks to plants such as lemon balm, passionflower, orange blossom and lime blossom. Finally, chamomile is particularly beneficial for hydration, helping to combat dry skin.

Tasting

You can drink 2 to 3 cups a day, but never more than a liter! Brew your infusion for 3 to 5 minutes in water at 90° in your best teapot or teaware. After all, there's a whole protocol for enjoying your tea.
