Fukushima Prefecture
Fukushima Prefecture is located in Tohoku. Fukushima literally means "island of happiness / fortune". Originally specialized in sake and shochu production, the Sasanokawa Shuzo distillery was established in 1765 in Koriyama near Inawashiro Lake in the Fukushima region of Japan.
