Machrie Moor 70cl 46°
Machrie Moor is a limited edition annual production from the Arran Distillery. Every year since 2004, a limited amount of Arran Malt has been produced with peated malted barley. Machrie Moor is actually the name given to the peat moors on the west coast of the Isle of Arran. This is where, according to legend, the giant Fingal tied his favourite dog, Bran, to a standing stone.
This Single Malt Machrie Moor whisky is a 20 ppm peated version, aged in Bourbon barrels and bottled at 46%. A superbly balanced whisky with fresh and sweet fruit on the first palate, followed by earthy and vegetal notes from an expressive, warm and comforting peat. Smoked and fresh. Vanilla, dried grass, tropical fruits, saline notes.
A tribute to the rugged beauty of the Isle of Arran.

Arran is the only distillery located on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. It has been established in 1995 in Lochranza.
Arran has been a part of the world of whisky for a long time. In the mid 18th century, the island had nearly fifty distilleries (most of them illegal or “moonlight” distilleries), but they all have closed since then. The new distillery opened in 1995 and renewed the tradition of Arran. The spirit produced on Arran received the “whisky” label in 1998.
