Recognized for the high quality of its Single Malt, the Scottish distillery The Glenrothes stands out for its singularly sweet and fruity distillate obtained by a slow distillation.

The story of the Glenrothes Distillery begins in 1879 with James Stuart, who built a new distillery in the town of Rothes, Sctoland, and the Reverend William Sharp, who raised the funds necessary to save the distillery from ruin and helped transform James Stuart's dream come true.

As a whisky man, James Stuart was convinced that he had to use traditional distillation methods alongside the latest technological advances in production. His conviction was based on four founding principles: having access to a nearby water source to ensure the excellence and purity of his new manufacturing spirit, a slower distillation than usual to make the Single Malt smoother. He was aiming for, the best casks of Sherry to offer a wider range of flavours and a whisky always bottled in the natural colour.

Nose: green with resinous notes of candied bark and fresh oak.

Palate: rich, carried on a creamy vanilla, spices, and orange peels.

Finish: long on fruity notes of orange peel with a hint of nutmeg.
