Glengoyne 10 Years Old 70cl 40°

Distillery : Glengoyne / Country : Scotland / Reference: : 21177

The name of Glengoyne means "glen of wild geese" in gaelic.

Time and wood work together within the cool darkness of the Glengoyne traditional, earth-floored warehouses. There, away from sight, the glowing golden hue develops along with a sweet, malty finish, making this whisky the perfect balance of traditional skills and barley dried by air, never peated.

Fresh green apples, toffee and a hint of nuts, this is the taste of a slow distillation, barley dried by air and hand-selected sherry casks crafted from European and American oak.

This box contains, besides the 10 years old whisky, 4 Glengoyne orange leather coasters.

Glengoyne is a whisky with unique taste. The natural environment of this valley (Glen) full of magic has contributed to the making of this remarkable Highlands Single Malt whisky.

The rain pouring on Dumgoyne Hill granite rocks fills up with fragrant heather aromas, and runs down in pure and clear streams absorbing completely the unpeated barley flavour. Since 1833, the Glengoyne distillery has still been using traditional methods and craft arts to retain the authenticity of its whiskies. Located on the old Highland Line, the spirit is made in the Highlands but stocked in the Lowlands. At Glengoyne, the barley malting is done naturally, without using peat fire, which preserves the delicate, original aromatic hues of barley. Glengoyne Single Malt has a distinctive unpeated taste that lets each flavour to break through.

Colour: clear gold.

Nose: aromas slightly perfumed with hints of dried apricot and undergrowth.

Palate: powerful, with fresh green apples, toffee aromas and hint of nuttiness.

Finish: this Single Malt presents a balance both discreet and subtle.
