Aberfeldy 20 Years Old Double Cask 70cl 54°
Also known as "golden dram", this Aberfeldy whisky has required a longer ripening time, 20 years of aging, to create a smooth and complex whisky.
Coming from the reserves of the Aberfeldy distillery, this 20-year-old version of the Exceptional Cask Series is an exclusivity of Le Comptoir Irlandais selected by our experts with Stéphanie J. Macleod. This whisky is a limited edition with 594 bottles.
The whisky enjoyed a double maturation: 16 years in barrels of Bourbon with a finish of 4 years in Sherry casks. It was filled on 27th April 1998 and bottled on 10th December 2018.
This ripening offers an exceptional tasting with original, aromatic and very sweet flavours of ripe grapes and vanilla fudge.

The Aberfeldy distillery is located in the southern part of the Highlands (Perthshire).
Aberfeldy was founded in 1898 by the Dewar family, and is located in the Highland region. The distillery uses water from Pitilie Burn which is famous for its alluvial gold deposits.
Aberfeldy proceeds to a long fermentation of 70 hours allowing a greater development of the aromas, in particular that of honey. In addition, the use of large copper stills with their specific heights and shapes gives the whiskey its delicate and elegant character.
The Aberfeldy whiskey is very firm and reveals ample notes of cereals and fruit. This is the most potent of the Central Highlands malts.
