Distillery : Neisson / Country : Martinique / Reference: : 26132

Neisson Profil Équilibre Carole Aurore Foundations is a special cuvée of agricultural rum from the Neisson distillery in Martinique, known for its artisanal methods and refined production. The “Foundations” series is a collection that explores various aging and blending profiles, and the “Profil Équilibre” emphasizes a subtle balance between power and finesse.

This new Équilibre rum from the Neisson distillery is a blend of three wood-aged rums. These rums, of profiles 62, 105 and 107, were aged between 12 and 24 months in new American oak casks. Each barrel has a different toast, revealing rich and varied aromas. Reduced to 49%, this rum presents floral, fruity, spicy and woody notes in perfect harmony.

The bottle is decorated with a motif painted by Martinique artist Carole Aurore. Her style is characterized by colorful compositions that blend drawings and dynamic symbols, echoing this blended rum.

Created in 1931 in Martinique, the Neisson distillery preserves and renews since that time its expertise to propose rum agricultural in the purest Martinique tradition. Packaged in an original bottle, the Neisson rum benefits from the label of "Origine Controlée Rhum Agricole Martinique".

An agricutural rum is coming from the distillation of sugar cane juice as opposed to industrial rum from the distillation of molasses (residue from cane sugar production).

The distillery is now managed by the daughter and the grandson of Hildevert-Pamphille Neisson, founder of the distillery. It preserves its independence as a fragile treasure.

"A desire to remain on a human scale, coupled with a quest for excellence, in our opinion, is the only guarantee of offering a rare product, and that the family tradition can last."

Nose: A rich opening with aromas of ripe tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple, accompanied by subtle citrus notes. Hints of vanilla, caramel and cocoa round out an already complex bouquet.

Palate: On the attack, the rum is generally round and velvety, offering a gourmet sweetness. Exotic fruits are confirmed, with a fine presence of wood and spices, such as cinnamon and white pepper. The woody notes add structure, but are in perfect balance with the sweet, fruity flavors.

Finish: Long and persistent, it leaves a pleasant impression of sweet spices and sandalwood. A slight chocolate bitterness may emerge on the finish, balancing the initial sweetness.

This rum is designed to be enjoyed neat, to take full advantage of its delicate balance and complex aromatic nuances.
